About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Group Supervisor at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas. AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience working with at-risk youth
Supervisory experience is required
Be at least 21 years of age
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
Must meet requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having an active Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Provide direction and supervision to both staff and students.
Directly supervise Coach Counselors and Night Coach Counselors.
Ensure staff and students adhere to the facility and daily schedules, including being on time and participation in all program elements required.
Maintain the proper staff to student ratio for coverage.
Make critical and sound decisions during emergencies.
Conduct group intervention crisis sessions.
Inform Unit Managers of concerns.
Be a role model for staff and students, leading by example and modeling ROP programming.
