About The Position

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Group Reformer Pilates Coordinator to join the team. This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization. The role involves supervising Group Pilates staff and operations to ensure the highest level of programming and customer service, maintaining high member participation, and managing payroll and supply expenses. The coordinator will also deliver the Equinox Experience in classes, adhering to class descriptions and modifying intensity as needed, while ensuring classes start and end on time and teaching regularly with minimal subbing. This position requires 20-25 hours per week dedicated to coordinating responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Test out and completion from a Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training program or completion of certification on all Pilates apparatus including mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, high or combo chair, and barrels
  • A minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education must be completed through a Pilates certification program
  • Applicants must be able to provide a valid copy of their Pilates certification(s)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience teaching group classes
  • Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing
  • Standing, sitting, and walking
  • Squatting, bending, and reaching
  • Pushing, pulling, ability to safely spot and correct clients during session
  • Must have a legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments in the club to ensure members have a well-rounded experience
  • Provide excellent customer service to all Equinox members and guests
  • Participate in ongoing training and development
  • Maintain studio and equipment cleanliness
  • Supervising the Group Pilates staff and operations of the Group Pilates program to ensure the highest level of programming and customer service
  • Assuring classes are full and high member participation
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, directing, coaching and evaluating Group Pilates instructors and classes
  • Ensuring that the group fitness studios are well maintained
  • Maintaining monthly payroll expenses and supply expenses at or below budget
  • Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class
  • Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary
  • Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class
  • Ensure class begins and ends on time
  • Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum
