Essential Job Duties We’re looking for a curious, motivated Group Product Manager to join our Product Team and lead a critical product area supporting our Payroll Services organization spanning both internal tooling and customer-facing experiences, with an emphasis on Taxes and Money Movement. This role operates at the intersection of product, financial systems, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for defining and driving strategy across multiple teams, ensuring we build scalable, compliant, and reliable systems that power payroll outcomes for our customers. You and your team will play a key role in ensuring BambooHR delivers accurate, timely, and compliant payroll experiences while unlocking future innovation in how money moves and taxes are managed.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, with 2-3 years in a leadership or people management role
  • Alignment to the BambooHR core values
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Technical fluency that allows you to engage effectively with engineers and make informed tradeoffs
  • Proven track record of delivering successful, customer focused products at scale that accomplish business objectives and create successful customer outcomes
  • Strong strategic thinker with ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution
  • Organized, proactive, and decisive with the ability to create clarity and momentum in complex environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on Payroll, Fintech, or Tax products is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive product strategy across multiple teams, defining clear investment areas and aligning them to company and Payroll Services objectives.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, raising the bar for product thinking, execution, and impact across the team.
  • Partner closely with Design and Engineering leadership to execute on the product roadmap, including influencing the evolution of how we build and deliver great products using AI enabled tools and practices
  • Own portfolio prioritization and planning cadence (OKRs, quarterly planning, roadmap communication) ensuring clear tradeoffs and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive measurable business outcomes for all key areas under your stewardship
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, customer experience, finance, legal, payroll services, customer experience and product leadership teams to align product strategy with overall business objectives.
  • Act as the spokesperson for your teams, effectively communicating product updates, milestones, and strategy to all internal stakeholders.
