The Group Product Manager - Home Financing researches, defines, aligns, develops, and is accountable for performance management and analytics with P&L (profit and loss) accountability for the mortgage broker channel. This role carries out market research, forecasting, and competitive analysis, and assesses problems to develop and implement solutions. The incumbent develops and delivers key business insights required for business enablement and growth. They manage product risks in compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk compliance, and reporting. This role collaborates with internal partners across the enterprise to define key performance metrics for managing the performance of the broker channel. In this role, the incumbent will have accountability for BMO’s broker channel acquisition performance with a focus on channel development, external partner relationship management, analytics, pricing, and portfolio management. The role fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values, and strategy, and role models BMO values and behaviors in all that they do. The Group Product Manager develops business analytics and insights (e.g., portfolio profitability tracking, customer analytics, revenue forecasts, operations metrics, trend analytics, and predictive modeling). They break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations. This role ensures alignment between values and behavior that fosters diversity and inclusion. They build interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders and ensure alignment between stakeholders. The incumbent acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies. They design, implement, manage, and enhance BMO’s product offering for the broker channel throughout the product lifecycle. This role leads the execution of strategic initiatives for the broker channel to deliver on business and financial goals in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. They lead, develop, and manage strategies for reporting and forecasting and/or analytics teams within the business, working in partnership with treasury, corporate funding, and external partners on additional requirements. The Group Product Manager conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues. They lead/oversee and develop vendor relationships and external partnerships and provide guidelines for execution, ensuring all agreements are met as per requirements. This role determines and provides recommendations on product lifecycle. They develop business cases by identifying needs, analyzing potential options, and assessing expected returns on investment. The incumbent designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards, and completes internal and regulatory reporting and attestations. They conduct complex market research, competitive intelligence, and data analysis. This role influences and/or determines credit product risk parameters and metrics, identifies existing and potential risks, and develops risk management controls and processes. They monitor key product performance and growth metrics to identify trends and recommend action plans. The Group Product Manager creates the marketing strategy, including offers and campaigns, and works with Marketing and other partners to execute. They develop, implement, and manage product documentation, templates, and requirements to ensure they accurately reflect product and systems functionality. This role leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives. They lead the execution of operational programs, assessing and adapting as needed to ensure quality of execution. The incumbent operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders. They develop and implement action plans that meet financial and growth metrics. This role develops problem evaluation frameworks and defines research approaches. They assess customer/consumer and channels analysis and develop recommendations. The incumbent resolves internal, complex, or higher-risk customer escalations or policy exceptions, which may include interactions with clients and sales. They continuously improve processes to identify issues and deliver optimal customer experience. This role works with partners to develop salesforce training and materials and manages change.
