About The Position

Our Group Maintenance Team is looking to hire a hybrid, full-time, Group Maintenance Specialist to assist in the processing of group information and claims by entering, maintaining and monitoring group information in the claims processing system; controlling group claims and assuring proper and accurate benefit determination, group billing, and broker information. This position researches and resolves claim suspensions related to group structure issues and adjudicates claims. This position will work on-premises at our Concord, NH headquarters and hybrid, from your home in NH, when deemed appropriate by the manager. The Group Maintenance Specialist position earns a competitive salary at $25.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field, plus at least two years of progressively responsible work experience or an equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience.
  • Must have experience gathering and analyzing information from a diverse set of sources and individuals to fully understand a problem and be able to proactively anticipate needs and prioritize action steps.
  • Must have a basic understanding of the logic of the group, provider, eligibility, and claims processing system.
  • Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as liaison between Marketing and the claims processing system by translating group contracts into the claim processing system for new and renewing groups through the use of a specialized knowledge of the claims processing system and the interdependencies of NEDD departments.
  • Assures accurate benefit determination, billing, and producer payment by creating and maintaining all group related parameters and system configurations related to NEDD product/plan designs.
  • Provides alternative and/or customized solutions to the Manager which may require modification of NEDD's existing procedures and policies by analyzing the conflicting requirements and thinking critically beyond the standards and norms as they currently are.
  • Serves as an internal resource to other departments by providing insight and expertise with regard to all aspects of group structure information.
  • Aids in the onboarding of new Group Maintenance Specialists by orienting and training the trainee in essential job functions; verifies accuracy of work until trainee exhibits proficiency; provides progress updates to the Manager.
