About The Position

Assists the Food Service Supervisor and/or Manager with oversight of the daily operations of patient and non-patient services, including daily operational activities of the department, assuring that all quality and standards are met.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years previous food service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and trains staff, reports cash transactions, prepares cash deposits, compiles patient menus and special needs, setup and checking of patient tray line and opening and closing of the department.
  • Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner, directs catering and doctor’s lounge service.
  • Communicates proper information regarding any patient or non-patient needs to peers, staff and Food Service Supervisor or Manager.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
