About The Position

Silver Spring Foods is seeking a Group Lead to take a key leadership role in their fast-growing production operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality optimization and understands the importance of a well-informed, communicative, and collaborative team. This role involves ensuring production demands are met, developing effective teams, sharing knowledge to grow team capabilities, and proactively identifying and solving operational issues. The Group Lead will work closely with other team members to ensure customers receive products when they need them.

Requirements

  • People Management: Promoting teamwork and building strong teams.
  • Regularly walk manufacturing lines to understand floor operations.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues to optimize production.
  • Act as a coach and manager, providing feedback, instruction, encouragement, and kudos.
  • Model great leadership and inspire positive behavior and comradery.
  • Ability to collaborate with different personalities and colleagues across the organization.
  • Seek input of the team and other stakeholders before making big decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and problem solver.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of operations.
  • Ensure proper shift transitions and strong lines of communication between teams.
  • Review all job orders and quickly determine priorities, staffing needs, and material requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and maintenance procedures are followed and documented accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently.
