A Group Lead is a working leader who performs tasks similar to the employees under their leadership. In addition, the Production Supervisor assists the Production Manager in carrying out certain business responsibilities. This role involves providing work instructions, prioritizing tasks, training employees, performing complex technician functions, and troubleshooting. The Group Lead also coordinates and monitors the workload of technicians to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and housekeeping standards are met. They serve as the first level of technical escalation and assist in problem resolution for production process issues, escalating to management or support groups as necessary. Responsibilities include preparing, building, and testing products, assisting with skill assessments in hiring, administering performance assessments, and aiding in new process development. The role also involves assembling, repairing, reworking, or calibrating units, conducting tests and inspections, and maintaining employee and production records. Additionally, the Group Lead administers disciplinary measures with appropriate approvals and maintains effective communication with employees to foster morale and handle complaints.
