About The Position

LIFE, Inc. - Edenton is hiring a part-time Group Home Worker in Edenton, North Carolina. The role supports individuals with daily living activities and promotes independence by helping create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and well-being. The hourly wage is $17.50, paid bi-weekly, with shifts available on both the 1st and 2nd shifts. No prior experience is required, and comprehensive training will be provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
At least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance and supervision during personal care activities, including dressing, bathing, and toileting.
Support clients during meals, using family-style dining to encourage social engagement and healthy eating habits.
Assist with housekeeping tasks, including clothing care, household cleaning, and yard maintenance.
Help prepare meals and nutritional supplements.
Administer prescribed medications accurately and monitor clients for reactions or side effects.
Implement prescribed diet plans and help clients use adaptive equipment to support health and mobility.
Follow behavioral programs, maintain detailed data collection, and adhere to safety protocols.
Support clients in active treatment programs by assisting with training objectives, recording progress, and helping achieve service goals.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and communicate relevant client information as directed by supervisors.
Transport clients safely in company vehicles for appointments and community outings.
Accompany and supervise clients during community participation, school, and day program activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned to promote client well-being and program success.
