About The Position

Kids Above All is seeking a full-time Therapist at their Lisle, IL Group Home location. This position will provide direct service diagnosis, treatment planning and therapy to assigned clients, and clinical consultation to other program staff as needed. The role involves providing individual and group therapy, overseeing the intake process, conducting diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic treatment. Responsibilities also include providing outreach services, reviewing case plans, assisting in program marketing, and participating in regular clinical consultation. The therapist will ensure quality, professional services in accordance with Council on Accreditation, NASW Social Work Code of Ethics, and other recognized groups, while adhering to Agency policies and procedures, meeting Medicaid billing requirements, and maintaining records. Additionally, the position involves overseeing client psychiatric consultations and medication management, coordinating collateral therapeutic services, providing clinical training to staff, supervising family visits, attending hospital and other staffing, and actively participating in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from accredited college or university
  • Minimum three (3) years direct service experience with adolescents
  • Must be able to appropriately maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and use sound, independent judgment
  • Must have a perceptive awareness of the needs and responses of adolescents and the capacity to work well with adults
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Must meet and maintain DCFS driving standards
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word required

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW, LCPC preferred but LPC and LSW are eligibility as well

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy to assigned clients
  • Oversee intake process
  • Provide intake diagnostic assessment (through use of case consultation and/or DSM IV), develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic treatment
  • Provide outreach services, per case plans, as clinically appropriate
  • Review case plans quarterly, and as required
  • Assist in marketing of Program to possible referral sources
  • Participate in regular clinical consultation, and provide consultation to staff as needed
  • Assure that clients are offered quality, professional services per directives of: Council on Accreditation, NASW Social Work Code of Ethics, the Team, and other recognized groups
  • Follow Agency policies and procedures with respect to Program services and management
  • Meet Medicaid billing requirements
  • Maintain records and statistical reports, as required
  • Oversee and assist in client’s use of psychiatric consultants and medication management, coordinate collateral therapeutic services
  • Provide clinical training to staff minimum of twice per month
  • Supervise family visits as required
  • Attend hospital and other staffing
  • Maintain job- and/or client-specific competencies
  • Actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and activities
  • Other duties as assigned to achieve the mission of the Department and the Agency
