About The Position

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly supervisor role. The scope of the role involves supervising a single program or unit, typically supporting 4-8 individuals in residential settings or 10-15 individuals in periodic, vocational, or day programs. Duties are split between direct support, professional/program activities, and supervision. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with a pay rate of $17/hr. This position requires a driver's license held for at least one year (post-permit) and a clean MVR record that meets Sevita's insurability policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year related work experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Car registration and auto insurance if driving on behalf of the Company or providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
  • Other licensure(s) or certification(s) where required by regulatory authority.
  • Driver's license held for at least one year (post-permit).
  • Clean MVR record that meets Sevita's insurability policy.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program, including delivery of supports, implementation of person-centered plans, healthcare, advocacy, customer engagement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide direct support as needed, working regularly scheduled shifts as a DSP.
  • Document services and supports as required, and review individual records, billing, and other program documentation for accuracy and completion.
  • Assist the Program Director in the development and implementation of individual program plans.
  • Attend and assist with routine progress meetings.
  • Assist the Program Director in maintaining licensing compliance for program services and supports.
  • Manage individuals' assets, ensuring the safety of funds and property, monitoring spending, and reconciling financial accounts.
  • Complete or assist DSPs in documenting incident reports and submitting them to the Program Director.
  • Compile or accumulate census or attendance information and submit accurate data for billing.
  • Monitor the health of individuals served, document health status, and communicate with medical professionals.
  • Schedule or assist in scheduling healthcare appointments and may accompany individuals to appointments.
  • Administer or support self-administration of medication and document delivery, reviewing all other medication documentation for accuracy.
  • Purchase and maintain medical supplies and equipment in consultation with the Program Director.
  • Develop menus based on diets, preferences, and occasions, and purchase or oversee the purchasing of food and supplies.
  • Maintain productive and professional relations with individuals, families, case managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Implement Sevita Customer Service Standards and train DSPs in delivery.
  • Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of DSPs in consultation with the Area Director and Talent Acquisitions teams.
  • Populate and maintain employee schedules to ensure all shifts are covered and overtime is minimized.
  • Assist with onboarding and deliver orientation and ongoing training.
  • Prepare and conduct annual evaluations for DSPs in consultation with the Program Director.
  • Coach employees as needed, correct employee behavior, and may recommend or participate in termination decisions.
  • Ensure employee safety and workers' compensation within the program.
  • Purchase food, household supplies, office supplies, and minor equipment.
  • Review and attest to company credit card statements and monthly invoices.
  • Secure and safeguard individuals' served funds locally.
  • Review census, attendance information, or other required documentation to assure accurate billing.
  • Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.
  • Capture daily census within systems and understand the importance of accurate and timely service capture.
  • Support location preparations required for expected placements.
  • Test drive vehicles monthly, inspect vehicle lifts and seatbelts, and report safety concerns.
  • Train staff in safe vehicle operation and safely transporting individuals.
  • Schedule and monitor daily and seasonal housekeeping, and oversee lawn and yard care.
  • Make or arrange for minor repairs and report to or schedule repairs by maintenance personnel.
  • Monitor environmental safety, including water temperature, refrigerator and freezer temperature, and safety alarms and extinguishers.
  • Monitor wheelchairs, lifts, and other safety equipment, and ensure repairs are made promptly.
  • Perform other duties and activities as required, including backfilling roles under supervision.
