Requirements

  • 1 year of experience.
  • High School education.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining positive relationships with residents, their families, internal staff and the larger community.
  • Managing staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance management and disciplinary action.
  • Overseeing activity programs.
  • Ensuring high quality care of residents.
  • Assuring all direct service shifts are filled by qualified and trained staff.
  • Participating in on-call responsibilities and responding to calls outside of working hours.
  • Being accessible to consumers, families, and staff.
  • Implementing, reviewing, and enforcing facility policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating outcomes and support plans with RN Administrator.
  • Monitoring, coordinating, and assuring all services to individuals are delivered, communicated, and coordinated daily.
  • Providing medication reminders, assistance, or administration as delegated.
  • Providing direct supervision and oversight of all staff.
  • Assisting with treatments as delegated by RN or therapy tasks as assigned.
  • Observing clients and reporting changes in physical and emotional condition to LPN or RN.
  • Planning, creating, printing, and posting menus/meal plans.
  • Monitoring and assuring that daily health care and nutritional needs are met.
  • Assuring the coordination and communication of changes in services, hospitalizations, and other issues.
  • Scheduling onsite and offsite appointments and transportation for clients.
  • Monitoring and managing the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the home.
  • Assuring compliance with emergency procedure requirements.
  • Promoting a positive cooperative relationship with team members, vendors, neighbors, law enforcement, and emergency personnel.
  • Attending required in-service training, staff meetings, and other agency events.
  • Assisting clients with personal cares as identified in the assignment sheet/client care plan.
  • Managing staff feedback and recommendations.
  • Maintaining organized and thorough documentation, ensuring staff adherence to documentation policies.
  • Assuring follow-through of a quality social/activities program for residents.
  • Conducting monthly meetings with residents and staff.
  • Investigating and reporting incidents of suspected client maltreatment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
