About The Position

Crunch Fitness is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Group Fitness Instructor who is passionate about health and fitness. The role involves instructing safe and effective exercise classes, supporting members, and following club policies and procedures. The gyms offer cardio and strength-training equipment, a weight room, full-service locker rooms with showers, tanning booths, a HydroMassage bed, and a schedule of signature classes. The position reports to the Group Fitness Class-ic Coordinator, Manager, and Franchise Owner/Operator. Department meetings may occur monthly or weekly, and employee training meetings are also held. Compensation is $25.00–$35.00 per hour. Benefits listed are performance-based bonuses, free uniforms, and training and development.

Requirements

Maintain a valid CPR certification.
Hold a nationally accredited aerobic certification; AFAA, ACE, or NASM certifications are preferred. A valid Yoga or Pilates certification is also acceptable.
Have experience teaching exercise classes to clients of all levels.
Have strong customer service skills.
Have good verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Instruct safe and effective exercise classes.
Maintain all mandatory education certifications.
Follow instructor sign-in and sign-out procedures.
Understand and follow all policies, procedures, and standards.
Demonstrate knowledge of the Crunch brand and model behavior in accordance with the Crunch mission statement.
Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager.
Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
Follow all club and facility policies and procedures.
Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
