Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified by an accredited organization (AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NETA or equivalent).
• If teaching Yoga: 200 plus hour Yoga certification required.
• If teaching Pilates: Pilates certification required.
• Certified by an accredited organization; AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NETA or equivalent.
• If teaching Yoga; 200 plus hour Yoga certification required.
• If teaching Pilates; Pilates certification required.
• Additional certifications applicable to licensed modalities.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years instructing is preferred.
• Hiring instructors certified to teach multiple modalities/formats.

Responsibilities

• Teach one-on-one programs and group classes to DAHLC clientele.
• Lead safe and effective exercise programs for all skill levels.
• Demonstrate proper biomechanical alignment.
• Stay updated on industry trends and keep certifications current.
• Seek to enhance teaching skills.
• Offer suggestions for new classes appropriate for the DAHLC population.
