About The Position
The Group Fitness Instructor teaches safe and effective exercise classes for clients of all levels. The instructor maintains required certifications and follows the club’s procedures, policies, and standards. The role also involves providing professional customer service, demonstrating knowledge of the Crunch brand, and handling member requests or referring them to a manager. The position may be subject to changes or alterations. The instructor attends monthly or weekly department meetings and employee training meetings.
Requirements
- Maintain valid CPR certification.
- Experience teaching exercise classes for clients of all levels.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Nationally accredited aerobic certification from AFAA, ACE, or NASM is preferred.
- A valid Yoga or Pilates certification is also acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Instruct safe and effective exercise classes.
- Maintain all mandatory education certifications.
- Follow all instructor sign-in/sign-out procedures.
- Understand and follow all policies, procedures, and standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Crunch brand and model behavior in accordance with the Crunch mission statement.
- Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager.
- Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
- Follow all club/facility policies and procedures.
- Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
- Attend monthly or weekly department meetings and employee training meetings.
