Group Fitness Instructor (Yoga, Zumba, Aqua Aerobics & more)
About The Position
Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Lure, Rumbling Bald is a private community offering exceptional wellness and recreation experiences for members and guests. We’re seeking energetic, certified Group Fitness Instructors to lead engaging, safe, and motivating classes that support the health and fitness goals of program participants. Our immediate needs include Yoga, Zumba, and Aqua Aerobics, and we are also open to adding new and innovative group fitness formats that enhance our class schedule and elevate the experience. This is a great opportunity for instructors who are passionate about group fitness, enjoy working with a diverse population, and value the flexibility to teach their specialty—or introduce something new.
Requirements
- Current Group Fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ISSA, or equivalent)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Previous group fitness teaching experience of 6 months
- Strong communication and cueing skills
- Reliable, professional, and member/guest focused
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, engaging, and well-organized group fitness classes
- Provide clear instruction, encouragement, and appropriate modifications for all fitness levels
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive class environment
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to teach scheduled classes
- Build positive, professional relationships with members and team members
- Follow all Rumbling Bald policies, safety procedures, and facility guidelines
