Group Fitness Instructor, Robertson County
About The Position
YMCA of Middle Tennessee is Now Hiring for a Group Fitness Instructor, Robertson County. This is a part-time position with a pay range starting at $14 per hour, with potential for more based on experience. The role involves leading group fitness classes, inspiring members to achieve their wellness goals, and bringing energy and fun to every class while making a real impact. The instructor will lead high-quality group fitness classes that are fun, safe, and educational, helping members feel supported on their fitness journeys. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workout space, building relationships with members, and creating a welcoming environment. The position offers access to hundreds of free CECs through ClubConnect after the first 90 days.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18
- Teaching experience (less than 1 year is okay!)
- A passion for fitness and great communication skills
- Before start of 1st class: New Hire Orientation training
- Before start of 1st class: One of the following: Group Exercise Primary Certification (ACE, AFAA, ISSA, etc.) OR Specialty Certification (Cycling, Yoga, Les Mills, Ripped, Zumba, etc.) OR YMCA Group Fitness Instructor Certification provided by the Y upon hire (Principles of Member Health and Wellness, Foundations of Group Exercise at the Y)
- Within 30 days of hire: CPR Pro/First Aid/AED
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification preferred (Cycling, Zumba, Les Mills, etc.)
- Yoga or Pilates instructors need 20+ training hours.
