About The Position

This role involves conducting safe, fun, dynamic, and effective group fitness classes for clients of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. The instructor must possess a strong understanding of anatomy and movement mechanics, and be able to modify classes for individual client needs and medical concerns. Responsibilities include performing hands-on corrections, continuously learning new choreography, and participating in ongoing training and evaluations. Additionally, the role requires punctuality, creating an inviting class environment, managing class subs, ensuring studio cleanliness and equipment functionality, and providing excellent member service. The instructor will build professional relationships, demonstrate an ability to work with diverse personalities, exemplify a healthy lifestyle, and help members achieve their health and fitness goals.

Requirements

  • Certified 200 RYT
  • Strong communication skills
  • Outgoing, engaging and positive personality

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in first aid and/or CPR is a plus, if you don't have this we can get you certified

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safe, fun, dynamic and effective group fitness classes for clients of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels
  • Articulate a strong grasp of anatomy and the mechanics of movement
  • Modify classes and routines according to fitness levels/medical concerns of individual clients
  • Perform effective hands-on corrections
  • Continuous studying and learning of new choreography
  • Participate in required ongoing training and regular teaching reviews and evaluations
  • Be on time for all scheduled classes (arrive at least 10-minutes prior to the start of class)
  • Create an environment that draws people in
  • Utilize the extensive sub list to find a replacement if unable to make a class
  • Ensure the studio is clean and tidy for the next class and that all equipment is functioning properly. Report any problems or needs to the Group Fitness Coordinator
  • Provide a high degree of service through professional, sincere, and trusting relationships with members in regards to their needs, concerns and questions
  • Demonstrate an ability to relate to and work with a variety of people and personalities
  • Exemplify the qualities of a healthy and fit lifestyle
  • Help people in the greater Spokane area achieve their health and fitness goals
