Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health/Fitness, OR related field
  • CPR or Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
  • One NCCA Nationally accredited Personal Trainer/Fitness Instructor certification and at least one special pop cert actively teaching or scheduled for a special population class at the Pavilion
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer application skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness program development and 1-2 years experience related field

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all group exercise programming and related events at the Pavilion.
  • Supports the recruitment, hiring, training, and management of a high-quality Group Fitness team.
  • Leads a comprehensive Group Fitness program that promotes safe, effective, and evidence-based exercise experiences aligned with the facility’s health and wellness mission.
  • Coordinates and manages the group fitness schedule; supervises instructors, and ensures adequate class coverage by securing substitutes as needed.
  • Maintains all group fitness studios and equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and clinically appropriate environment by conducting routine inspections and managing inventory.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates both complimentary and fee-based programs, supporting member engagement, health outcomes, and retention.
  • Assists in the development of the annual program plan and budget.
  • Designs and administers participant satisfaction surveys.
  • Analyzes participation and performance data.
  • Submits monthly and statistical reports.
  • Collaborates with other departments to develop facility-wide events and integrated wellness initiatives that support member retention and overall health improvement.
  • Interacts with members, patients, and guests to address program questions, feedback, concerns, and suggestions in a professional and service-oriented manner.
  • Coordinating and managing the group fitness schedule; ensuring adequate class coverage by securing substitutes as needed.
  • Finding Sub Coverages, Group Fitness Tracking, Developing Quarterly (Seasonal)Group Fitness Schedules and providing member engagement programs and events.
  • Every Quarter critique instructors and give feedback in the moment and/or review to help improve customer experience.
  • Developing Quarterly (Seasonal)Group Fitness Schedules, Research current trends and implement new ideas.
  • Rotation of MOD (Manager on Duty) and Fitness Floor Coverages, New member sign ups/terminations and all other MOD duties assigned.
  • Meet or Exceed Group Fitness FY Budget Yearly.
  • Building Seasonal Business Plans with the program team.
  • Fill in Sub Coverage when needed and other department locations assigned to assist Manager on Duty.
