About The Position

The Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion in Ashburn, VA is seeking a part time Group Fitness Coordinator to join their team. This role involves collaborating with the Fitness Director to develop and deliver fitness-related direct member programs and services.

Requirements

Ability to teach a variety of group fitness classes.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Competent in using apps and technology required to get the job done.
Ability to multi-task, be a self-starter, and be well organized.
Ability to make and execute departmental decisions keeping the Center’s best interest at hand.
Ability to learn and use various database systems.
Ability to effectively work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience leading Group fitness classes.
Personal Training certification/experience.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and develop the group exercise program in collaboration with the Fitness Director.
Recruit and retain members through group exercise programs and workshops.
Evaluate instructor performance and make recommendations.
Communicate regularly with instructors regarding class schedules and facility updates.
Teach a minimum of 2 classes each week to establish and maintain credibility.
Ensure group exercise areas are in excellent condition, including equipment availability, cleanliness, and maintenance. Communicate any issues to housekeeping and facilities personnel.
Maintain the group exercise monthly schedule.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by staying current with industry trends and acquiring necessary continuing education credits for certification.
