Group Fitness Coach - Los Angeles Area
About The Position
BoxUnion is seeking Group Fitness Coaches for its Los Angeles Area locations (Sherman Oaks, Robertson, Santa Monica). As a BoxUnion Coach, you will be responsible for delivering a world-class experience by commanding, leading, and inspiring participants through a pre-designed workout. This role requires a strong knowledge of fitness and an immersion in the BoxUnion community and brand culture. BoxUnion classes are centered around heavy bag-based boxing set to music, aiming to empower participants to achieve their goals. The company's mission is to motivate, uplift, and inspire individuals to overcome challenges.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- CPR and First Aid certification highly preferred
- Hold a nationally accredited fitness certification highly preferred (ACE, ACSM, Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research, C.H.E.K, IFPA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, PTA Global, W.I.T.S.)
- Boxing enthusiast preferred; however not a ‘knock-out’ qualification
- 1-2+ years of group fitness experience preferred
- Deliver an energetic, motivating class
Responsibilities
- Prepare for and deliver on-brand classes using daily programming.
- Arrive early and stay post-class to connect with the team, members, and first-timers.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and development workshops.
- Work out alongside members during class to amplify the energy.
- Assist the front of the house with pre- and post-class responsibilities.
- Coach a minimum of 2-3 pre-designed BoxUnion workout classes per week.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
