About The Position

Monte Nido Atlanta, located in Sandy Springs, GA, is a residential treatment program exclusively for adults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Monte Nido’s treatment approach focuses on the restoration of physiological and nutritional balance, implementation of healthy eating and exercise routines, elimination of harmful behaviors, and development of motivation and treatment engagement. Our objective is to help each client achieve a clear understanding of their eating and/or exercise disorder and its effect on their life, as well as an individualized appreciation of what is necessary for their personal recovery. The role is responsible for providing high-quality patient care within a therapeutic milieu, supporting individuals with eating disorders through structured programming, safety monitoring, therapeutic meal support, and group facilitation. This position collaborates closely with the clinical, medical, and nursing teams to ensure patient safety, emotional support, and adherence to program standards while upholding the mission and values of Monte Nido.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or another related field is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience treating those with eating disorders in a residential or inpatient setting is very helpful.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices

Responsibilities

  • Plan, structure, and facilitate clinical groups (e.g., CBT/DBT skills, coping strategies, relapse prevention)
  • Adapt group content to the client's level of functioning and treatment goals
  • Maintain group safety, boundaries, and engagement
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to integrate group work into the overall care plans
  • Participates in and monitors daily meals and snacks, facilitating the pre-meal and post-meal process
  • Provide calm, supportive encouragement/redirection around food
  • Follow established meal support protocols (under the direction of the clinical/dietary team)
  • Provide direct client care within the program setting (e.g., check-ins, support around skills use, brief interventions, meal support)
  • Participate in milieu support
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
