About The Position

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a Group Facilitator to lead therapeutic group sessions for their in-person Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)/Outpatient Program (OP). This role involves guiding clients through evidence-based practices to develop skills for long-term stability and recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in modalities such as Art Therapy, Fitness/Wellness, or Psychodrama, but not Music Therapy. Mission Connection, an extension of AMFM Healthcare, offers a hybrid model of in-person and telehealth services for mental health support, focusing on individuals with primary mental health diagnoses like anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in a clinically related field is highly preferred.
• Experience leading group therapy sessions (process, psychoeducational, etc.).
• Experience working with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and required screenings.
• Physical ability to sit for long periods, use a computer, and lift up to 10 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience facilitating groups in Art Therapy, Fitness/Wellness, Psychodrama, or other mental health modalities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Work with acute clients experiencing co-occurring mood disorders, substance use, and suicidal ideation.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and California Licensing Standards.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and create individualized care plans with measurable objectives.
• Document client progress, develop transition and discharge plans, and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Assist in crisis intervention and act as a point of contact for families regarding clinical care.
• Participate in staff meetings, quality management initiatives, and training programs.
• Adhere to ethical standards, legal guidelines, and AMFM Healthcare’s policies and procedures.
