About The Position

Compassion Behavioral Health is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health treatment services. Our mission is to foster healing and personal growth through comprehensive, evidence-based care in a supportive and compassionate environment. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Group Facilitator to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients. The Group Facilitator will be responsible for leading therapeutic group sessions, providing support to clients in a clinical setting, providing clinical support outside of group hours and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in group therapy facilitation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a safe and supportive environment for clients. This is a full-time position and will require on-site presence at both our residential and outpatient facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Experience facilitating group therapy in a mental health or addiction treatment setting.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and build therapeutic rapport.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a therapist
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients dealing with mental health issues, or co-occurring disorders.
  • Develop and implement group curriculum tailored to the needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other staff to ensure comprehensive treatment plans are followed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes.
  • Monitor client participation and progress, adjusting the approach as necessary to meet therapeutic goals.
  • Provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space for clients to share and engage in group activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
