About The Position

AES THERAPY & FITNESS IS LOOKING TO ADD MORE GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTORS TO OUR TEAM! OUR CLINICS ARE LOCATED INSIDE TWO ALAMEDA ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES AND WE PROVIDE A VARIETY OF CLASSES AND SERVICES TO BOTH THE SENIOR RESIDENTS WHO LIVE THERE AND LOCAL COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THE GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR LEADS CLASSES FOR 2-10 SENIORS AT A TIME WITH VARYING LEVELS OF COMPLICATION AND EXERTION. CLASSES RANGE FROM SEATED TO STANDING. WE HAVE A BANK OF CLASS STRUCTURES WE KNOW OUR CLIENTS ENJOY, BUT ARE ALWAYS OPEN TO ADJUSTING TO CLASSES THE TRAINERS ARE INTERESTED IN AND COMFORTABLE LEADING.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to speak English clearly to elderly and hard of hearing residents
• Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals
• Proof of eligibility to work in US
• TB clearance
• Current COVID vaccinations
• Fingerprint clearance from FBI and DOJ is required before hire

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science OR accredited group fitness certification preferred
• Minimum of 6 months experience (or equivalent education) preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads classes for 2-10 seniors at a time with varying levels of complication and exertion.
• Adjusts classes based on trainer interest and comfort.
