About The Position
The Louisville Area YMCA is seeking Part-time Group Exercise Instructors to teach a variety of classes designed for adults. Classes are offered at various times throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Requirements
- Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification from nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency
Nice To Haves
- CPR and AED certification preferred, but will provide
- Able to teach multiple formats (gentle yoga, dance, etc) targeting older adults preferred
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm
- Design class format appropriate for type of class and participants
- Serve as a good role model
- Communicate with team members
- Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide
