About The Position
In search of Part-time Group Exercise Instructors who can teach a variety of classes targeting adults at the Minerva Area YMCA. Classes are scheduled for weekdays from 9-10am and various weekday evenings. The starting rate is between $11.00 - $16.00.
Requirements
- Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification from nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency
- Able to teach multiple formats (gentle yoga, dance, etc) targeting older adults
Nice To Haves
- CPR and AED certification preferred, but will provide
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm
- Design class format appropriate for type of class and participants
- Serve as a good role model
- Communicate with team members
- Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide
