About The Position
Walmart Energy is advancing a mission to create an affordable, reliable, and clean energy future for our company and the communities we serve. As Walmart’s energy portfolio expands—onsite generation, battery storage, microgrids, EV charging, retail energy operations, and multi-gigawatt contracted renewables—we are seeking a seasoned leader to help drive progress. This is an onsite role based at our Home Office campus in Bentonville, Arkansas; we are not considering remote applicants, but a full relocation package is available. Execute Walmart’s energy strategy across grid, assets, policy, and customer solutions. Support one of the largest distributed energy portfolios in the U.S., including solar, storage, and EV charging. Help scale onsite deployments, offsite energy investments, and retail energy offerings. Collaborate cross-functionally and track market and policy developments to inform decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field and 7 years’ experience in utility operations or related area OR 9 years’ experience in utility operations or related area.
- 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- Experience with large-scale energy, infrastructure, or renewable programs.
- Knowledge of energy markets, policy, or technologies (solar, storage, EV).
- Strong analytical, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with an ownership mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Energy Manager
- experience in building systems design, controls, or operations.

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field
