Now hiring a part-time Group Facilitator for Avenues Extended Care, an intensive outpatient facility offering outpatient clinical drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. The skilled and compassionate staff here provide quality clinical services and medication-assisted treatment, and continuous support as clients ease back to daily living. Our fresh, beautiful facility offers ample space, as well as amenities like a fully stocked client lounge, client kitchen, and outdoor recreational areas. Avenues Extended Care provides a safe, supportive space for clients to strengthen their sober skills and bring their successes into real life.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required.
Valid state licensure / certification necessary to practice in this role, i.e. CIT, RAC, CAC, LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, or LPC
Substance abuse experience required
Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director
Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed
