About The Position
Linden Ponds by Erickson Senior Living is seeking an enthusiastic fitness specialist to lead group fitness classes and help older adults stay active and healthy. The role focuses on providing effective, engaging fitness instruction and supporting residents’ health and well-being. There are no sales, upselling, or quota requirements. Requirements
- At least one year of related work experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Specific state regulations and requirements may apply and take precedence over the requirements outlined in the job description.
Nice To Haves
- Experience evaluating fitness programs for seniors.
- Personal training experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform fitness assessments, including measuring vital signs.
- Prescribe appropriate exercise programs, including flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular training.
- Educate members on proper exercise techniques and evaluate their performance.
- Assist with coordinating and implementing wellness programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe fitness area for members.
- Build strong relationships with residents and staff and encourage physical activity.
