About The Position

Duties include assisting with the clearing and removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways. A Bucket Operator operates an aerial lift device (bucket truck) to reach branches interfering with electric lines. Given the dangerous nature of the work required, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.

Requirements

Must be able to wear necessary PPE.
Experience - warehouse, laborer, tree service, general labor
Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments.
Must be able to lift, move and maneuver heavy weights of 10 pounds frequently, and weights of up to 50 pounds infrequently.
Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.
Must be able to pass criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

6 months of verifiable experience is preferred.
A CDL License / Valid Driver's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Removes branches and tree material.
Operates bucket near energized lines.
Cleans up and disposes of all debris.
Operates and services equipment, such as gasoline, hydraulic tools, power saws, power winches, bucket, chipper, and sprayers.
Uses hand-tools, such as axes, hand-lines, saws, block and tackle, pruners, etc.
Sprays brush and stumps, making proper and selective application of herbicides.
Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, etc. to protect employees and the public.
Performs other related work, as assigned by supervisors.
