About The Position

R. J. Corman Railroad Services is currently seeking Groundsman/Laborers to join our team in Fargo, ND. This role involves performing laborer/groundsman duties to clear railroad derailments, practicing safe working habits, and ensuring proper PPE is used. The position requires maintaining vehicles and equipment, communicating effectively with the team and supervisor, and being comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Additionally, the role involves frequent travel and being on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies.

Requirements

• Previous outdoor laborer experience preferred
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical capacity test
• Able to perform physical strenuous work
• Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Able to walk, climb, and maintain balance on equipment, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, rails and ballast in a safe manner
• Able to navigate into confined spaces if necessary
• Must be able to respond to emergencies within one hour
• Performs duties in multiple environments including outside job sites, in and around moving vehicles and equipment.
• Exposure to weather elements
