About The Position

Under the direction of the Field Manager, the Part-Time Groundskeeper assists with the daily care and maintenance of the playing surface and surrounding field areas at Angel Stadium. This position plays an important role in ensuring the field is maintained to Major League Baseball standards for player safety, performance, and presentation.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by the baseball schedule.
Valid driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience in athletic field maintenance, landscaping, golf course maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Experience maintaining baseball fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform daily field maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, sodding, blowing, vacuuming, infield grooming, warning track maintenance, and mound and home plate repairs.
Safely operate and maintain grounds equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility carts, aerators, blowers, vacuums, and other turf maintenance equipment.
Assist with field preparation before, during, and after games and special events.
Work collaboratively with full-time and seasonal grounds staff to maintain the highest standards of field quality.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
