Our hotel team is seeking a highly motivated groundskeeper who will maintain the outdoor areas of our property, ensuring they are clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

Requirements

Prior maintenance/groundskeeping experience is required.
Good communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to remain calm in various situations, use sound judgement and effectively solve problems.
Strive to maintain personal, staff and guest safety.
Participates in activities and meetings.
Ability to stand and walk 90% of the time
Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps

Responsibilities

Provides general indoor and outdoor upkeep of lodge property.
Aware of maintenance needs for lodge with ability to lead maintenance tasks.
Upkeep of lodge lawn, gardens, ornaments, and miscellanies landscaping including trimming bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
Picks up and removes trash prior to mowing a designated area.
Maintains Empties trash and recycling containers.
Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
Completes snow removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months.
Performs routine maintenance on power equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Completes all tasks as assigned for the day to the standards of Skyline Lodge and our guests.
Visually inspect public areas and overall Lodge for cleanliness and appearance; clean as assigned.
Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests; Practice chemical safety rules and follows procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.
Maintain high standards of guest relations when in contact with the guest.
Perform or assist with cleaning duties and proactively assists others when own tasks are completed.
