Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field, or groundskeeping/landscaping experience required.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical and basic finishing.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive approach to dealing with issues.
- Must have good written and oral communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
- Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
Responsibilities
- Pressure washes outside of casino, decks, entrances to the casino, and other areas as needed and/or as directed.
- Cleans grounds and removes litter.
- Removes all trash from parking lot as needed.
- Spreads salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
- Water’s lawn and shrubs; trims plants as needed.
- Cleans out drainage, ditches, and culverts.
- Maintains cleanliness of outside smoking area.
- Maintains parking lots and adjacent areas in a sanitary manner.
- Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and snow removal equipment.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
