About The Position

Action is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper to join our team at Woodside located in Sacramento. This role involves performing daily cleaning and upkeep of the exterior grounds, including dog park, tennis courts, parking areas, entrances, and other outdoor spaces. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for removing litter, debris, and trash, as well as cobwebs from various common areas. This position also requires reporting maintenance or safety issues, assisting with pressure washing, supporting the maintenance and engineering team, changing lightbulbs and post heads, clearing fallen trees, painting front doors, refilling Doggie Bags, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and helping set up/break down outdoor areas for community events. Seasonal duties such as setting up sandbags and clearing drains are also part of the role. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in groundskeeping, general labor, or maintenance, basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and equipment, and possess a strong work ethic with attention to detail. Good communication skills are essential for interacting professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of the exterior grounds, including dog park, tennis courts, parking areas, entrances, and other outdoor spaces.
  • Remove litter, debris, and trash from common areas, ensuring proper disposal.
  • Remove cobwebs from carports, fixtures, and common areas such as pool decks, and recreational spaces.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the maintenance supervisor or property management team promptly.
  • Assist with pressure washing sidewalks, driveways, and other exterior surfaces as needed.
  • Support the maintenance and engineering team by carrying tools, supplies, and assisting with minor maintenance tasks.
  • Change lightbulbs and post heads.
  • Clear and cut up fallen trees – when needed to assist the maintenance team.
  • Paint front doors.
  • Refill Doggie Bags throughout property.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of cleaning and maintenance equipment.
  • Help set up and break down outdoor areas for community events when needed.
  • Perform seasonal duties such as setting up sandbags, and clearing drains as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
