About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains visually appealing and functional outdoor spaces through lawn and shrubbery care, landscaping, pest control, trash removal, and related maintenance. The role also includes maintaining equipment and participating in property maintenance projects. Work is performed primarily outdoors and may involve varied weather, noise, chemicals, dust, pollen, and moving mechanical equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge of gardening techniques.
Working knowledge of sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment.
Understanding of fertilizer, pesticide, and gasoline dispensing.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, push, pull, reach overhead, and move safely over uneven terrain.
Ability to perform repetitive motions and to stand, bend, sit, lift, and walk.
Ability to use required personal protective equipment where necessary.
Ability to drive a motorized vehicle, including the vision and physical abilities needed to sit, see, and read signs and traffic signals.

Responsibilities

Perform daily lawn care, including mowing, weeding, raking, trimming, watering, and seeding lawns and shrubbery.
Follow safety guidelines when operating equipment and handling chemicals.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, trucks, golf carts, and power tools.
Use and maintain hand tools such as loppers, saws, and shovels.
Apply insecticides, fertilizers, and chemical sprays to treat diseases.
Assist with irrigation audits and irrigation repairs.
Participate in maintenance and landscaping projects.
Remove snow using a shovel or snow blower.
Perform carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
Interact with guests attentively, courteously, and in a service-oriented manner.
Prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency, using thoughtful planning and decision-making.
Maintain the property in accordance with the quality assurance manual.
Perform other duties or activities as assigned; responsibilities may change with or without notice.
