About The Position

The Groundskeeper works under the direction of the Director, Facilities Management. Promotes and exemplifies the mission and values of The Sisters of The Third Order of St. Francis and supports the goals of OSF Healthcare System: cares for all lawn areas; maintains flower beds; plants seeds, bulbs, shrubbery and trees; performs preventative maintenance and repairs as needed on various equipment utilized throughout the year to include: large utility tractors, garden tractors, snow plows, and chainsaws as well as all transportation vehicles; assists with custodial duties such as washing walls and windows; transports and disposes of solid waste; as required may be assigned to perform the duties of Boiler Room/Plant Attendant; performs all associated job duties at all locations associated with OSF St. Francis Hospital/OSF Healthcare System as required; completes all other duties as assigned by the Director, Facilities Management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year previous groundskeeping experience
• Valid Michigan drivers license

Responsibilities

• Cares for all lawn areas
• Maintains flower beds
• Plants seeds, bulbs, shrubbery and trees
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs as needed on various equipment utilized throughout the year to include: large utility tractors, garden tractors, snow plows, and chainsaws as well as all transportation vehicles
• Assists with custodial duties such as washing walls and windows
• Transports and disposes of solid waste
• May be assigned to perform the duties of Boiler Room/Plant Attendant
• Performs all associated job duties at all locations associated with OSF St. Francis Hospital/OSF Healthcare System as required
• Completes all other duties as assigned by the Director, Facilities Management
