About The Position

To create and maintain the appearance of college grounds. This position is 25 hours per week, from 6am to 11am with some flexibility. This job requires a drug screening and a motor vehicle report as part of the pre-employment process.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years of work related experience required
• Valid PA Driver’s License required
• Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description
• Must work outdoors in all types of weather
• Proficient knowledge of and ability to operate tractors, mowers, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions
• Ability to work within a team oriented setting
• Must have a good sense of balance; required to work at various heights.
• Moderate physical strength is required.
• Common outdoor allergies should not inhibit job performance.

Responsibilities

• Winter: Snow removal, equipment maintenance, litter liners and upkeep; assists other departments as needed.
• Spring: Planting, mulching, edging, mowing, and campus upkeep; assists with maintaining college property, athletic fields, and other departments as needed.
• Summer: Mowing, watering, weeding, plant care, trimming, campus upkeep, and equipment maintenance; assists with maintaining college property, athletic fields, and other departments as needed.
• Fall: Leaf removal, mowing, trimming, planting, campus upkeep and equipment maintenance; assists with maintaining college property, athletic fields, and other departments as needed.
