Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Groundskeeper to join our team at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the appearance and cleanliness of the grounds adhere to company standards. Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in general maintenance or repair for commercial facility required
• No high school diploma or GED required
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint
• Ability to use ladders and perform various types of manual labor
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally
• Exposed to outdoor weather conditions in all seasons

Responsibilities

• Mow lawn using hand, power, or riding mower and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls
• Landscape by planting and watering flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes
• Sweep walkway of debris and install lawn furniture
• Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds
• Stock firewood to guest rooms
• Assist maintenance staff with task as needed
• This position requires driving a company vehicle on a daily basis
• Empty Trash Bins
