About The Position

This role is responsible for the daily upkeep of the property office and common areas of property buildings. The groundskeeper will perform essential duties such as cleaning hallways, glass doors and window areas, restrooms, emptying trash containers, and light office cleaning. They will also be responsible for cleaning and preparing vacant units for new residents, including performing minor repairs. A key part of the role involves walking the grounds to pick up litter and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the property. During winter months, the groundskeeper will be responsible for snow and ice removal. The position requires adherence to a dress code, proper use of protective equipment, and strict compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Must have experience in grounds or janitorial work
• Must be trustworthy and dependable
• Must be able to perform light maintenance work
• Ability to maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of janitorial and building maintenance a plus

Responsibilities

• Clean hallways, glass doors and window areas, restrooms, empty trash containers, and light office cleaning

• Walk the grounds picking up paper, trash, etc.
• Responsible for the daily upkeep of the property office and common areas of property buildings
• Adhere to dress code as established by management
• Use protective equipment when necessary and follow safety procedures
• Be aware of and always operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies
• Other duties assigned by a supervisor
• During winter months responsible for snow and ice removal
