About The Position

The Groundskeeper will maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of the community facilities. This job plays a key role in executing our company�s purpose statement: We build community by bringing people together in the neighborhoods where they live.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years old
At least 2 years of grounds keeping / maintenance experience
Skills in carpentry, HVAC, electric, plumbing and other building trades
Experience in landscaping, irrigation and grounds maintenance
Must be organized, efficient and have the ability to recognize the level of quality acceptable to keep facilities looking their best
Ability to communicate with residents, managers and peers in an effective way
Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends
Problem solving skills
Valid Driver�s License and a clean driving history
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and physical

Responsibilities

Daily upkeep of the community grounds and facilities
General cleaning and removing trash on a dedicated route
Sweeping or hosing off community areas daily and as needed after rental
Ensuring areas around the dumpsters are clear
Operating within OSHA standards and company safety policies
Maintaining inventory of supplies / equipment needed to perform duties
Executing additional tasks as required
