About The Position

Responsible for keeping the grounds and maintenance of the property in an attractive condition; for keeping exteriors, common areas, vacant apartments, sidewalks and alleyways of the property in a clean and safe condition. Assist in preparing units for new residents. Assist in other types of maintenance when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1 to 3 months related on the job experience or training.
• Must be well organized and a self-starter.
• Perform general maintenance repair tasks professionally without endangering yourself, residents or fellow associate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be team oriented and a problem solver.
• Maintain professional appearance and at all times.
• May be required to work extended periods of time without relief, when responding to priority/emergency situations.
• Stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pump, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting device.
• Lift and carry objects of up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 30 feet.
• Climb ladders and stairs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Mobility and flexibility to use ladders to heights in excess of 8 to 9 feet.

Responsibilities

• Maintains property grounds of community.
• Picks up litter on grounds.
• Make Ready units for new residents.
• Maintains watering and drainage systems.
• Assists in inventory control and upkeep of all grounds equipment and supplies.
• Assists with any emergency maintenance.
• Cleans all hallways and common areas.
• Cleans all parking areas.
• Cleans all sidewalks and alleyways.
• Cleans all stairwells.
