About The Position
The Peel Compton Foundation is looking for a Groundskeeper to join their team. This role requires someone who enjoys outdoor work, has a passion for planting, and a keen eye for horticultural detail to keep the grounds thriving. This is a full-time opportunity with a full benefits package. The typical schedule is Monday – Friday during the day shift. Candidates are asked to submit a resume detailing their lawncare, maintenance, and groundskeeping experience, including hobbies.
Requirements
- Focus on detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably.
- Resume stating all lawncare, maintenance, groundskeeping experience (even if it is just a hobby).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in professional landscaping or grounds maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of local plant species and pest control.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-standard lawn care, including mowing and fertilization.
- Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and seasonal flowers to ensure peak health and visual appeal.
- Keep walkways, parking lots, and common areas free of debris, snow, and ice.
- Monitor and perform minor repairs on sprinkler systems to ensure efficient water usage.
- Operate and maintain lawncare equipment.
- Lead the charge on leaf removal in the fall and snow mitigation during winter months.
