About The Position

The Groundskeeper performs a variety of tasks in weed and litter control at designated County facilities. This role is crucial for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of County properties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of work experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or general maintenance work.
• Possession of a valid New Mexico driver’s license by the date of hire and maintenance of a valid license while employed in this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintains County facilities by pulling or cutting weeds from tree wells and open areas.
• Removes all trash and other debris from County maintained properties.
• Operates power equipment such as push mower, sickle mower, and sprayer.
• Assists in spraying of weeds, applying fertilizers, and trimming shrubs.
• Incumbent(s) in this classification may handle sensitive and/or confidential records, plans, documents or decisions that require maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
