Groundskeeper
About The Position
Otterbein is looking to add a dedicated and motivated Groundskeeper to our Maintenance Team. This is a 1st shift position. Candidates with experience and a willingness to be part of a great team are encouraged to apply. Otterbein SeniorLife has provided senior housing options rooted in respect and community for over 100 years. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) health and human service organization focused on serving our residents. Otterbein SeniorLife consists of lifestyle communities, revolutionary small house neighborhoods, home health, and hospice care in Ohio and Indiana, offering various lifestyle options for seniors.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable.
- Lawn care and landscaping experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, small-engine maintenance/repair preferred.
- Experience in maintenance department and prior experience in a health care facility preferred.
Responsibilities
- Mows lawn using hand, power or riding lawnmower.
- Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Hand weed gardens and spread mulch.
- Trim shrubs and low hanging branches.
- Water plants and grass as needed.
- Clean outside patio furniture as directed.
- Assist with set up and tear down of tents, etc. for outdoor activities.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
