About The Position

The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for efficiently maintaining the physical appearance of the apartment community’s grounds, pools, and buildings. Avanti Residential is seeking a motivated individual to join their team. Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred.
1+ years of property maintenance experience preferred.
Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
Communicate clearly to residents and respond to resident’s service requests and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
Can use power and hand tools effectively and safely when completing maintenance tasks.
Must have time management skills to successfully navigate frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
Work independently with minimal supervision, be accountable for actions, self-motivated.
Possible travel to other properties owned by Avanti Residential to help sister communities.
Frequent contact with residents of all backgrounds.
Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
Possession of a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation is required.
If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of grounds and common areas.
Be aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe and unclean conditions.
Maintain pool, pool areas, and pool furniture.
Water plants and grass as required.
Manage snow removal (CO, KS, MO, UT) and Hurricane preparation and cleanup in FL.
Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members.
