About The Position

Groundskeeper reports to and takes direction from the Grounds Supervisor. Responsible for cleanliness and maintaining grounds and landscapes.

Requirements

• Ability to work well with others, including other employees, Grounds Supervisors,outside vendors, contractors, and customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (snow removal, vehicle breakdown)
• Valid Indiana State Driver’s license
• 3 Years of Landscaping knowledge and prior experience
• Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently
• Ability to lift 50 (fifty) pounds
• Ability to swim (Canal)
• Ability to perform basic Maintenance Equipment Repair
• Familiarity with CMMS Software/Computers

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, trimming, pruning, watering, and spray operations of grass, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs at all properties managed by the Building Authority.
• Assist in planting annual flowers, trees, and shrubs. Spread mulch in and around all beds.
• Assist in snow removal, ice removal, and salt spreading, parking lot and walkways
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance.
• Comply with EPA chemical application regulations and Building Authority’s policies procedures and safety regulations. (All regulations will be shared during orientation and onboarding) (Mobile + CJC)
• Driving to different properties that are managed by the Building Authority, with lawn care equipment in tow. (Mobile)
• Perform Maintenance as well as Preventative Maintenance on the (Canal Walk) pumps and fountains(Canal + CCB)
• Use a wetsuit to enter and work in water up to 5 feet deep (Canal)
• Remove graffiti/counteract vandalism, including removing items from Canal waters.(Canal)
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Grounds Supervisor.
