About The Position

The Groundskeeper performs a variety of tasks in weed and litter control at designated County facilities. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
One (1) year of work experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or general maintenance work.
Successful completion of a post-offer employment medical examination and background investigation.
Adherence to all County safety guidelines.
Complete all FEMA training(s) assigned to this position.
Possession of a valid New Mexico driver’s license by the date of hire and maintenance of a valid license while employed in this position.
Complete required supervisor training, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Maintains County facilities by pulling or cutting weeds from tree wells and open areas.
Removes all trash and other debris from County maintained properties.
Operates power equipment such as push mower, sickle mower, and sprayer.
Assists in spraying of weeds, applying fertilizers, and trimming shrubs.
Incumbent(s) in this classification may handle sensitive and/or confidential records, plans, documents or decisions that require maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
