About The Position

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is looking for a Groundskeeper / Landscaper to perform a variety of grounds work and sports turf maintenance, equipment maintenance and repairs, and minor maintenance and repairs to the building. This role works with the Athletic Department in conjunction with the sports teams and coaches to ensure the athletic fields are ready for play when scheduled. The position helps the School District fulfill its mission of service to its students, faculty, and community and protects the capital investments made by the School District in its Public Facilities.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, and sports turf management.
Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.
Successful completion of a criminal record check (CORI) and a national background check (fingerprinting).
Demonstrated interest working in a school environment.
Possession and maintenance of current Massachusetts hoisting licenses for the duration of employment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team.
Good verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of grounds work and sports turf maintenance.
Perform equipment maintenance and repairs.
Perform minor maintenance and repairs to the building.
Work with the Athletic Department to ensure athletic fields are ready for play.
Prepare fields for all types of sporting events.
Perform emergency and routine repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Perform a wide variety of skilled and unskilled grounds keeping tasks using hand or power tools and related equipment to maintain the property and equipment.
